The RX-7V represents the summit of Arai's knowledge, experience and know-how in helmet technology. With a completely new PB-SNC outer shell, the revolutionary VAS (Variable Axis System) visor system and a significant increased smoother area around the temples, the RX-7V offers the new benchmark in the premium helmet segment. From the also new Eco Pure liner with an even slimmer frame, to the new ducts, improved diffuser and the integrated Air Channels, every part shows the attention to detail that is so typical for Arai. Arai has continually improved the 'glancing off' performance by learning from real scenarios. Thanks to the new stronger and smoother shell and VAS, the RX-7V is closer to the ideal helmet shape than ever.
 

Technical Information for the RX-7V:

• PB-SNC Shell
  Arai uses a net structure core, assembled and bonded within Super Fiber and other special synthetic fibers. These special fibers are also used for the visor panel of F-1 helmets and have superb characteristics in tensile strength and flexibility. Our shells are carefully molded with multiple material layers including a Super Fiber belt across the helmet, just above the visor opening for extra strength. We have also developed a new resin in pursuit of a lightweight but very strong shell.
  
  
• VAS (Variable Axis System)
  In any helmet, regardless of brand, the amount of energy that can be absorbed is limited. Therefore, avoiding potential impact energy by glancing off should also be a key function of a helmet. So we have been pursuing a sleek shape that is more likely to glance off energy. Most shield mounting systems require indents with a high pivot point in the shell, even Arai, so as to open and close the shield. On the new 'VAS', the mounting position was lowered 24mm in pursuit of the ideal smoother shape that increases the ability of glancing off energy. As a result, this has made it possible for the shell to be completely smooth above the test line of the Snell standard. 

• Outer shell
  Made of PB SNC2, a combination of Super Fibre and special synthetic fibres of great resistance and flexibility put together by Arai's experts. The use of this new resin affords greater resistance to the shell reducing its weight. 

• Ventilation System
  The new diffusers in the upper area (Type 12) are now stiffer and 20mm longer. These work together with the rear Air Wing to improve stability. Compared with the diffusers of the RX-7 GP, these are now 19% more efficient. The ventilation mechanism now offers the possibility of regulating it in 3 positions; open, ajar and closed, improving the seal, thus reducing the noise inside the helmet. The air inlet is on the central upper part and provides 11% more ventilation compared to the previous model and a new, larger open/close mechanism facilitates its operation. The internal ducts ensure a cool environment inside the helmet and the side and rear air outlets permit the removal of hot air from inside the helmet. The incorporation of a new chin guard avoids turbulence inside the helmet. 

• Interior
  The inner padding is fully removable and washable. Made of new Eco Pure fabric, they afford optimum fell and antibacterial properties. The new interior allows for a custom fit thanks to the 'peel away' system and has a space specific for installing intercom speakers. It also has the emergency release system of the cheek pads, which allows removal of the helmet without harming the rider in the case of an accident. 

• Screen
  The new Arai RX-7V has the new VAS visor with a completely new mechanism that facilitates installing/removal of the visor. There is also a new visor closure system that prevents it from accidently opening. Comes with Pinlock MaxVision anti-fog laminate as standard for clear vision in any weather condition. 

• Closure
  The RX-7V closure system is of double buckle.
